Are you a gamechanger with interest in system simulation, model based software development and proficient in MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE, NI PXI, or Speedgoat? Then we want you to join #TeamCTRL! Apply now!

DESCRIPTION

Welcome to CTRL engineering, where we develop innovative high-tech tailor made machines from scratch across all possible industries! From automotive testbenches to validate the electric motors of your future car to vision based quality monitoring systems or an automated dosing system for your Sunday afternoon tea time pancakes! No challenge to big!

We're seeking talented individuals to engineer disruptive machines! If you're driven by excellence and eager to advance your career, you might just be the gamechanger we're searching for!

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

  • You dive into the engineering process, from brainstorming and conceptualization to prototyping and ultimately bringing these innovative machines to life.
  • Your analytical thinking skills ensure that you can design, develop and test high-MBD solutions that meet client’s needs and give real-time insights in production quality and machine health.
  • You’re not afraid to go hands-on and like to share your knowledge with others in the team!
  • You always have an eye for both time and budget, which is a challenge itself. Deadlines are always around the corner!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Passionate about pushing the boundaries in designing and programming complex multi-disciplinary machines!
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field, showcasing a strong foundation in control theory, dynamic modeling, and system identification
  • Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools commonly used in MBD projects, such as MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow/Amesim/HEEDS/..., with expertise in developing system models and control algorithms for dynamic systems.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of control system design methodologies, including classical (PID, root locus, frequency response) and modern methods (state feedback, optimal control, adaptive control), for stability and performance.
  • Experience with real-time simulation and rapid prototyping platforms and tools such as Simulink Real-Time, dSPACE Scalexio portfolio, NI PXI and Labview/Veristand SW stack, or Speedgoat.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller-based control hardware, with the ability to interface control algorithms with hardware components and peripherals for real-time control and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for model-based controls engineering, such as ISO 26262 (functional safety), AUTOSAR (software architecture), and ASAM XIL (simulation interface)
  • Experience with automotive application as powertrain or vehicle dynamics, is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of the unique challenges and requirements for automotive test rigs is an additional asset.
  • Interest in software development methodologies and tools for version control (e.g., Git), issue tracking (e.g., JIRA), and CI/CD pipelining.
  • Eager to deploy your software to the real machine, brave enough to solve the hassles that comes with it and ready to party when your see it in action!
  • You are very hands-on and pragmatic. You have many DIY projects.
  • You are flexible, you have no problems with adapting new plans. Design complex machines is fun, but also unpredictable!

BENEFITS

  • You will be joining a team of enthusiastic and passionate colleagues who share your commitment to innovation.
  • Involved in the design and development of truly unique projects and solutions, end-to-end. Yes, you can be an mechatronics gamechanger! There is nothing more thrilling than seeing your work out there in the field.
  • Access to a broad portfolio of training and educational courses, allowing you to grow.
  • The chance to be part of a fast-growing company where you can grow in your area of expertise or interest.
  • A convenient office location near the highway (E40-E403), the central train station and the charming city of Bruges, providing a stimulating work environment!
  • An attractive salary package with additional benefits such as meal vouchers, extensive insurance coverage, extra vacation days, a company car, and our beloved Friday French Fries tradition.
