REQUIREMENTS

• Passionate about pushing the boundaries in designing and programming complex multi-disciplinary machines!
• Degree in Computer, ICT, Software or Automation Engineering.
• Proficiency in several programming languages like structured text, C/C++, and Java, with potentially exposure to model-based development using Matlab/Simulink as additional asset!
• Strong interest in crafting software architectures and testing frameworks.
• Interest in software development methodologies and tools for version control (e.g., Git), issue tracking (e.g., JIRA), and CI/CD pipelining.
• Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded Linux, or other embedded software environments, with a focus on developing software for fast and time critical systems
• Eager to deploy your software to the real machine, brave enough to solve the hassles that comes with it and ready to party when your see it in action!
• Familiarity with communication protocols commonly used in our applications, such as EtherCAT, CAN bus, Modbus, and MQTT is highly valued
• Experience with Beckhoff as automation platform and their software tools is considered a plus! (TwinCAT 3/Motion/HMI/Vision/...)
• Understanding how to integrate embedded devices with IoT platforms and cloud services including things like MQTT, NodeRed,... is a nice to have!
• Experience with software programming for machine vision applications, including familiarity with image processing algorithms, camera interfaces, and vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV) is a bonus!
• You are very hands-on and pragmatic. You have many DIY projects.
• You are flexible, you have no problems with adapting new plans. Design complex machines is fun, but also unpredictable!
• You can handle pressure because honestly, we work hard!
